Looking for a custom solution to differentiate your kitchen from the competition? BlueStar's got a website for that.
The maker of gas ranges for the past 130 years has introduced a feature that's sure to please homeowners and designers alike — choice.
"What makes BlueStar unique is that a consumer or designer can go online and click on the Build You Own BlueStar icon and put burners in position or choose from 190 colors at the same price as stainless," said John Novella, vice president of sales with the Reading, Pennsylvania company. "In addition to that we'll match the color to any designer scheme, so you can match the stove with, say, the drapes."
The tool, which features BlueStar's top-selling Residential Nova Burner (RNB) range, offers a selection of 10 of the company's most popular 190 colors. Users also can select from different range sizes, from 24" to 60", and can configure burners to complement their cooking preference. Burners can be mixed-and-matched with a griddle, French Top or charbroiler.
Whether it's a 36" Ruby Red range with an 8" backguard, a 12" griddle and 4 burners or a 60" Jet Black range with a 21" high-shelf backguard, 24" charbroiler and 6 burners, you can build a customized model and have it shipped within 6-8 weeks.
Consumers can email their specs to any BlueStar dealer or print and take them to the store. "Custom homebuilders are using different woods to distinguish their work," Novella said. "You can design a one-of-a-kind range. I call it the piano of the kitchen."
