When the second season of The Next Iron Chef premiered on the Food Network on Sunday, October 4, at 9 pm EST/8pm CST, viewers saw BlueStar’s line of ranges used as the show’s cooking equipment. The show pits 10 world-class chefs from around the United States against each other in cooking challenges each week, with the winner crowned the next Iron Chef.

Throughout the series, the contestants will complete some of their challenges on one of five high-performance, ruby-red BlueStar 48-in. ranges. Each of the 48-in. ranges feature four 15,000-Btu open burners, one BlueStar trademark UltraNova 22,000-Btu power burner, one 130-degree simmer burner and a 12-in. charbroiler. "I think it's going to be fun for BlueStar owners to watch some of the best chefs in the world cook on the same brand of range they have in their own homes," said Keith Wolf, VP of marketing at BlueStar.

BlueStar’s 22,000-Btu burner system is the highest-powered open burner on the market, according to the company. For lighter cooking, the ranges also feature a 130-degree simmer burner, ideal for preparing delicate sauces and soups. Each unit boasts an extremely large oven capacity and powerful convection fan, as well as a roll-out rack that will support even the largest and heaviest turkey. The line offers 24-, 30-, 36-, 48- and 60-in. ranges and is available in more than 190 colors.
