Quality Technician I – III
Location: Blandon, Pennsylvania
Salary Range: $23.34 – $26.52/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform fav’s (first article verifications) for all newly purchased parts, new fabricated parts, and internal prototypes.
- Document all inspection results by completing reports and logs in Excel.
- Good working knowledge of the following types of metrology equipment: calipers, height gauge, micrometers, radius gauges, protractors, and pin gauges.
- Calibration of basic metrology equipment experience and knowledge preferred.
- Supports product and process audits as necessary.
- Perform analysis of returned materials to determine defects with support of engineering.
- Perform product or process studies under guidance of quality engineer or management.
- Develops and implements containment strategies or product non-conformances.
- Develops and maintains SOP’s for inspection.
- Maintains quality standards and procedures in accordance with the (QMS) quality management system.
- Enforces (gmps) good manufacturing practices throughout the workplace.
- Capable of performing in-process inspections to support maintaining production as needed.
- Maintains general housekeeping of workspace.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of Quality experience performing technical inspections
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering specifications & drawings
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry; ability to make basic calculations
- Strong problem solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Make a conscious effort at high quality, dependability and output on a daily basis
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting
- Basic ability to use Microsoft Office software
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times
- Stand for long periods of time
- Able to bend, stoop, reach and squat
