BlueStar By Design
BlueStar has long been known to the trade for its ability to color-match appliance finishes. This year, the company is taking the personalization one step further with the launch of BlueStar by Design, a program that turns its line of refrigerators and ranges into a blank canvas for any inspired graphic. In beta testing with interior designers, collaborators pulled samples of all sorts from their design schemes—a backsplash tile, a dining chair upholstery fabric, and a favorite dishware pattern among them—as derivatives for the custom prints. The results? A one-of-a-kind appliance that pairs seamlessly with the design plans. The BlueStar by Design process, which entails a heated overlay with an easy-to-clean Satin finish, requires an eight-week lead time. Available mid-2021.
