Hilow Project

In this 100-year-old Tudor home in Ohio, George Shiekh of The Cleveland Tile and Cabinet Co. transformed a cramped, outdated 1970s-era kitchen into a modern space that better reflects the home’s original character and the homeowner’s love for cooking and entertaining. Working within the existing footprint, the kitchen maximizes functionality without compromising circulation and walking space, incorporating a 60” BlueStar Nova Range in Jet Black as a high-performance, striking centerpiece.

Warm, off-white cabinetry brightens the kitchen’s limited natural lighting, while brass accents, a custom hood, and thoughtfully selected accents reference the home’s Tudor aesthetic. The original wood staircase was preserved, creating a natural connection between the updated kitchen and the historic details throughout the home.
