BlueStar Launches New Appliance Colors for Fall and Winter

The company says these bold colors can create strong focal points in the kitchen for homeowners looking to customize their design.

We’ve seen a number of paint companies come out with a Color of the Year inspired by fashion and design trends, and it seems kitchen appliance manufacturers are catching on. BlueStar has announced its kitchen color picks for the Fall and Winter season.

Four colors, Pastel Violet, Red Lilac, Platinum Grey, and Blue Azure anchor the line of new color offerings. Of the introductions, Interior Designer Jill Calo of Payne & Payne Builders says, “unexpected combinations such as Pastel and Purple Violets and rich Azure Blues are eye-arresting and create an unusual color dichotomy.”

PASTEL VIOLET
Calo says that this color can be the “star attraction” in the kitchen when used on one main appliance such as a double wall oven, and pairs well with light natural wood cabinets, and light countertops.

RED LILAC
Calo says this color suggests the color of a full-bodied wine and is a perfect accent tile in a small area, especially when combined with clean white countertops and medium grey cabinets.

PLATINUM GREY
Grey is still one of the hottest colors of the year for kitchens. This color is subtle enough to use for all appliances in a complete kitchen suite.

AZURE BLUE
The winter line is inspired by Blue Agate, which is made from microcrystalline Quartz. This intense color and can be striking in a backsplash which can be backlit for a modern feel. “We have been seeing azure blues from the fashion runways to home décor, says Calo. “This blue can be applied to furnishings, countertops, framed décor and textiles. For a dramatic look, I would pair this blue with black cabinets and copper accents, such as the handles on the appliances.”

BlueStar offers more than 750 colors and trims for its suite of commercial-style, stainless steel kitchen appliances.
