BlueStar Launches CEU Program

BlueStar is now offering a continuing education unit (CEU) course for the A&D community that focuses on the many facets of kitchen design.

The program, “Discovering Custom Kitchen Appliances,” provides an overview of the evolution of performance, color and customization in the kitchen, with a specific focus on design-centric and professional-style appliances. It will be presented throughout the U.S. to interior designers, architects and showroom sales professionals.

“The kitchen has always been the heart of the home, but it is now the new hub for social activity,” said BlueStar President Eliza Sheffield. “Approximately 82 percent of the meals Americans eat are prepared at home, and this number will only increase in the next few years. These changes are inspiring many home cooks to value design and functionality, including using appliances as a source of creativity when it comes to designing kitchens.”

The innovative course has four core objectives: participants will learn about the trends of American dining and the major changes in kitchen appliance design; how to maneuver homeowner personalities to reflect their personal style in the kitchen; how chef-inspired kitchen and appliances can influence creativity; and finally, how to visually absorb the look of a chef- inspired kitchen and how to apply them to future projects.

BlueStar’s CEU program is an example of the company’s dedication to kitchen appliance innovation. Through such interactive programming, CEU attendees have the opportunity to gain education credits while networking with other industry professionals. The one credit course provides CEU credits in conjunction with the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC), the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).
