August 27, 2018
Four distinct palettes, inspired by nature’s bounty and designed exclusively for BlueStar® high-performance cooking, cooling & ventilation products, help homeowners create a bespoke kitchen design
Blandon, PA, August 28 – BlueStar®, manufacturer of handcrafted, high-performance kitchen appliances for the home – and a pioneer in customization and color innovation – announces Savor the Seasons, a new color collection curated by international interior designer Eric Cohler. Inspired by the flavors and colors of fresh ingredients, this new line features four custom seasonal palettes, all designed to inspire home chefs to create a personal space that reflects their passion for cooking and entertaining.
The Savor the Seasons collection will be rolled out by season, with Autumn Abundance first up this fall. The luscious palette features sweet, honeyed Persimmon; aromatic Turmeric tinged with a hint of orange and ginger; the neutral, earthy Spelt; and the salty, ocean-fresh Bluefish. Coming soon is Winter Solstice, followed in 2019 by Spring Awakening and Summer Bounty. The four gorgeous color collections work seamlessly together, so a homeowner can design an entire kitchen space using the collection as inspiration – from the color of the appliances, to the cabinets, to the accent pieces. Each palette will feature Cohler’s personal recommendation for a metal trim, from antique brass to pewter, to complement each season’s specific color collection.
BlueStar® has been a leader in color and customization for more than a decade, and is the only pro-style appliance brand to offer virtually unlimited options for personalization across cooking, ventilation and cooling, including more than 750 colors and trims as well as highly customizable cooking surfaces and doors.
“Customization is a critical part of BlueStar’s heritage; we were the first large appliance manufacturer to introduce literally hundreds of colors across our product line,” said BlueStar President Eliza Sheffield. “We are excited to expand our relationship with the talented Eric Cohler to cultivate inspiration in the kitchen through bespoke design.”
Eric Cohler is highly acclaimed for his distinguishing ability to fuse classical and contemporary elements. Dubbed “The Mixmaster” by industry editors, Cohler’s interior spaces display layers of unusual texture and color, and he is known for his carefully curated style. “I’m a believer in the handcrafted. The fact that BlueStar appliances are not mass produced give them an artisan appeal; as a designer I have carte blanche. The ability to customize to each client’s personal style and taste is unusual – and extraordinary – in this category,” said Cohler.
This fresh, carefully curated collection, is designed to inspire not dictate. Cohler’s renowned style clearly emerges in the rich, saturated colors of each palette. “The colors work separately or together and harmonize perfectly with each other, in terms of design and materials. They are timeless and can be integrated into traditional, contemporary and modern kitchen and living styles,” said Cohler. “The colors feel luxe and unique yet livable – you could use them on a full suite of appliances (from ranges to hoods to refrigerators) or on one statement piece.”
