(Reading, PA – June 18) – ‘Get Your Pink On’ and join BlueStar for a great cause!  BlueStar™, the manufacturer of high-performance cooking equipment for the home, has kicked off 100 Days of fundraising and eBay auctions, featuring a custom-made PINK gas range, to benefit the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® via its Susan G. Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure® charity event.

The stove has a retail price of about $4,700, but Mike Trapp, vice president of operations, hopes the eBay auction attracts more because of the cause.  The auction ends on July 10th, and 100% of the proceeds will be contributed to the charity.  The company will provide free shipping.

The company will launch a series of other eBay auctions throughout the summer, so Trapp advises to check back regulary for new items.  Auctions will include BlueStar products, including a $700 set of high-end cookware, and items signed by celebrity chefs such as Marcus Samuelsson.

“This is our way to help to make a difference as we celebrate survivorship, honor those who have lost their battle, and most importantly, help raise funds and awareness for the fight against this life threatening disease,” said Trapp.  Team BlueStar is the company’s first ever company-wide team, comprised of employees, distributors, dealers, customers, family and friends.
