New French Door Refrigerator & Commercial-Style Full Kitchen Suites
January 2, 2018
2018 Color Trends Plus High Performance Ranges, Refrigeration & Hoods Featured in Booth W2519
Blandon, PA, January 2 – BlueStar®, manufacturer of high-performance appliances for the home – and a trailblazer in color options and innovation – is showcasing full commercial-style kitchen suites, including its new premium, French Door Built-in Refrigerator and a wide breadth of cooking equipment designed to meet the needs of every home chef. The BlueStar® line will be on display at the International Builders Show, January 9-11, in Orlando, Florida (IBS Booth W2519-American Gas Association).
As the leader in color options and innovation, BlueStar® will be celebrating the color trends of 2018 at this year’s show, featuring colors inspired by Ultra Violet, the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year and Benjamin Moore’s Caliente, a vibrant, charismatic shade of red. BlueStar® also will be displaying its color picks for 2018 which align with other top trends, including Claret Violet and Azure Blue.
“With all the color and design trends we can expect in 2018, there seems to be something to suite everyone, and only BlueStar can bring an unsurpassed selection of color choices and finishes into the home to create a truly on-trend kitchen design,” said BlueStar® President Eliza Sheffield.
New Entrant to Award-Winning Refrigeration Line
BlueStar® is introducing a new French Door Built-In Refrigerator to its award-winning, premium refrigeration line. With durable stainless steel interiors, dual compressors for enhanced food preservation and roomy interiors, the BlueStar® Built-In Refrigeration line is designed for serious cooking and entertaining. The refrigerator’s fully extending bottom shelf is designed to fit a full-size commercial sheet pan — as is the freezer shelf – that way, extra-large pans prepped with pastries or hors d’oeuvres can go straight from the refrigerator or freezer into an oversized BlueStar® oven, another brand hallmark.
The new French Door model is ideal for homeowners with tighter kitchen space. With two doors swinging in opposite directions instead of one, wide-swinging door, the new French Door model allows rooms of all sizes to feel more open and useable.
Since its introduction in 2016, the BlueStar® Built-In Refrigeration Line has garnered top awards for design excellence, including the prestigious GOOD DESIGN™ Award, the oldest and most recognized program for design worldwide. The line was named one of the “30 Most Innovative Products of the Year” last year by the iconic Better Homes & Gardens Beautiful Kitchens & Baths. Additionally, the BlueStar® Built-In Refrigerator was recognized with a Platinum ADEX award and was named an Honoree in the prestigious 2016 Interior Design Best of the Year Awards.
A Range of Possibilities
Featured at the IBS show are options in high-performance gas ranges to suit any cooking style. The top-of-the-line premium Platinum Range will be shown in a 48-inch size in Claret Violet, one of the year’s top color picks. The range features searing PrimaNova® 25,000 BTU burners for maximum, concentrated heat; an interchangeable cast-iron griddle/charbroiler system that offers the ultimate in cooking flexibility; and the revolutionary PowR Oven™ technology to ensure faster, more efficient heating. As with all BlueStar® gas ranges, the Platinum Series features a precise simmer burner, integrated wok cooking and an extra-large convection oven that fits a commercial size sheet pan.
BlueStar’s flagship RNB range will be displayed in Azure Blue and features restaurant-quality performance and nearly unlimited customization options. Powerful 22,000 BTU UltraNova™ open burners, precise 130° simmer burner and accessories including griddle, charbroiler or French Top make this range a favorite among serious home cooks.
Also on view will be the Sealed Burner Range, a great introduction to the BlueStar® brand. The sealed burners provide an intense 18,000 BTUs for high heat cooking and searing while the 5,000 BTU burners allow for more controlled simmering and gentle melting. Thanks to the full motion grates, pots and pans move seamlessly across the cooktop and the sealed burner design allows for a quick and easy clean up. The unit features an extra-large convection oven with 1850° infrared broiler.
BlueStar® pro-style kitchen ventilation hoods merge heavy–duty construction with seamless design to offer uncompromised durability, functionality and beauty. Built to meet professional standards inside and out, BlueStar® hoods combine high-gauge metals and commercial-style baffle filtration systems. Each hood can be painted to match the cooking equipment and outfitted with stainless steel, brass or copper metals. Combine with distinctive hardware such as utensil rails, unusual nail-heads, standing seams and European Black Steel strapping for maximum impact.
“With our full line of kitchen appliances, serious home cooks can create a true pro-style, bespoke kitchen with high performance cooking equipment, ventilation hoods and now chef-inspired refrigeration,” said Eliza Sheffield, president, BlueStar®.
