BlueStar® Previews Premium Column Refrigeration & Showcases Bespoke, Chef-Inspired Cooking Appliances
BLANDON, PA, September 3 — BlueStar®, manufacturer of high-performance, highly customizable appliances, was selected as the Primary Kitchen Partner for the 2020 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, a longtime fundraiser for San Francisco University High School’s Financial Aid Program. Bluestar® was proud to collaborate with noted Interior Designer Regan Baker on the custom kitchen that features a commercial quality gas range, new column refrigeration and an all new ventilation line.
BlueStar® products bring a level of customization and performance not typical in a home kitchen. All BlueStar® appliances are available in 1,000+ colors and finishes – plus any custom color as well as 10 metals trims – and have been handcrafted in Pennsylvania since 1880. Baker took advantage of the company’s unmatched customization options to create a bespoke design that is both sophisticated and stylish. The designer selected a soft, moss gray hue in a matte finish with brushed brass trim for the range which, she said, is not only the centerpiece of the room, but inspired the entire kitchen color palette.
“We absolutely adored the unique color offerings that were available to us, and we love the design moment we were able to create around the BlueStar range. The moss gray color has a muted, natural feel. It’s subtle enough to marry well with all of the other finishes and textures, but still serves as a unique point of interest,” said Baker. “The matte finish and brass toned hardware allowed us to seamlessly connect the range to the custom brass hood, and the design plan as a whole.”
Taking cues from the existing architecture of this Mediterranean-style show home, Baker’s goal was to blend traditional influences with contemporary design elements. Many of the furnishings and built-in cabinetry recall freestanding, classic pieces, and the designer’s color palette, inspired by the BlueStar® range, feels earthy, unsaturated and timeless. The marble countertops and natural brass finishes are surfaces that will wear beautifully with age, and contribute to a feeling of storied longevity that one gets with older homes.
“We are really excited to have collaborated with Regan to help create such an incredible space, and more importantly, to assist in raising funds for University High School’s financial aid program,” said Eliza Sheffield, President, BlueStar®. “With so many of us spending more time at home, this year’s showcase house offers inspiration and ideas to create a safe and beautiful space that fits any personality and lifestyle.”
