Designer Rachel Duarte Brings BlueStar Style and Innovation to One of the Showcase House’s Largest Kitchen Yet

BLANDON, PA — April 20, 2025 — BlueStar®, the manufacturer of professional-performance kitchen appliances for the home, is proud to participate in the 60th Pasadena Showcase House of Design, open April 20 through May 18, 2025. As a champion of creative expression and performance, BlueStar brings design and innovation to the main kitchen of this year’s home in collaboration with Rachel Duarte Design Studio and Snyder Diamond, the local retail partner.

This year’s 15,000 square feet showcase house is positioned on five acres of peace and seclusion at Bauer Estate & Gardens, a stunning property by famed architect Reginald D. Johnson. Set to be one of the largest Showcase Houses ever presented, this historic residence features one of the biggest kitchens the organization has seen in the last five years. Designed by Pasadena-based designer Rachel Duarte, the stunning kitchen features a balanced palette of earthy tones and materials.

The kitchen is centered on a 60” BlueStar Dual Fuel Range with Brushed Brass trim and knobs in Sunset Forest, a rich, atmospheric green that captures the quiet drama of twilight—when the fading sun casts deep, golden shadows across the forest canopy, and the leaves take on a moody, luminous depth. The range is paired with a 60” Custom Atlas Hood in matching color and trim. This rich, moody green hue is part of a signature color collection curated by designer and HGTV star Alison Victoria, created to bring depth and emotion to luxury kitchens.

The Dual Fuel Range pairs the brand’s revolutionary sealed X8™ burners, which deliver unmatched power and control across a wide 500–25,000 BTU range, with a precision electric oven offering eight cook modes, oversized capacity to fit full-size baking sheets, and a 7” full-color touchscreen. The expansive 8-point burners provide even heat across cookware of any size, while the oven’s true convection capabilities support multi-rack cooking. Topped with the beautiful curves of the Atlas Hood, engineered for performance ventilation and customized to echo the range’s finish, the pairing brings together the best of both worlds: culinary capability and designer-driven customization.

The Pasadena Showcase House of Design is a premier annual fundraiser presented by Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, dedicated to supporting and enriching the community through music education, scholarships, and grants to arts-focused nonprofits. Open for tours from mid-April to mid-May, this iconic event transforms a stunning estate into a showcase of exceptional design, all in the name of a great cause.
